The health check is for CTOs, founders and product owners running a Java product on AWS. Typical reasons: the system has become slow or expensive, a key developer has left, you inherited the code, an investor or buyer is asking questions, or the app was built quickly, perhaps with AI tools, and now needs checking before it grows.
You get an independent view from senior engineers who have worked on government, defence and financial-services platforms. We tell you what is fine, what is risky and what to fix first.

You grant read-only access to the code repository and AWS account. We send a ready-made IAM policy.

We read the code, run the tests and analysis tools, and review the AWS set-up.

You receive the scored report and fix list, then we walk your team through it.

After the report
Fix it yourselves, or let us help
The report is written so your own developers can act on it. If you would like help, we offer fixed-price Rescue Sprints of one week each at £3,000 + VAT, working through the fix list in priority order. The health check fee is credited against your first sprint.

Common questions
Your questions, answered
Do you need access to production?
We need read-only access to your code repository and AWS account. We send an IAM policy that allows reading configuration but not changing it or reading your customers' data.
Will you change any code?
No. The health check is a review only. Fixes are a separate, optional piece of work.
Our system isn't Java. Can you still help?
Other JVM languages and frameworks are usually fine. For other stacks, ask us and we will say honestly whether we are the right reviewer.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. We are happy to sign your NDA or provide ours before any access is granted.
Is this a security penetration test?
No. We review security configuration and code, but a formal penetration test by an accredited tester is a separate service. We will tell you if you need one.
Do you work with businesses in Birmingham and the West Midlands?
Yes. Techlina is based in Solihull, a short drive from Birmingham city centre, and we meet clients across the West Midlands in person. We also work remotely with clients across the UK.
